Though there are a few things we may have changed from our college experience at
Bluefield College, the friends we found are not one of them! During the five years that Sam was a part of Ramblin' Rams baseball, he made some incredible buddies, many of whom also turned out to be roommates, groomsmen, brother-in-laws, and lifelong friends. Between December 2004 and October 2006, five "baseball couples" got married, which meant lots of fun at lots of weddings. (Jeff & Sarah, December 2004; John & Christina, February 2006; Jeremiah & Sarah, June 2006; Chris & Tabatha, July 2006; and us, Sam & Ally, October 2006) Since then, we have been to several more weddings, baby showers, and even a trip to the Dominican Republic before most of us had children.

Our Group in the DR, July 2009 |
What started out being a group of baseball boys ended with a group where wives were also friends in their own right. At least every year, we have managed to get together for a weekend to reunite.
Since 2014 had no "scheduled" reunions (i.e. weddings, homecomings, showers) and since our kids have never all been together, Jeff and Sarah were gracious enough to open up their (gorgeous) home in Bristol, TN to all twelve of us--the Whitt Family (John, Christinia, Jordan, and Hannah), the Quesenberry Family (Chris, Tabatha, Easton, and Emerson), and us. The Johnsons are not only brave for welcoming all that craziness into their home, but they were also so hospitable, setting up a bouncy house-esque water slide and a tour at a neighboring farm.

After we ate a crazy amount of food and the kiddos skyrocketed the Johnsons' water bill with the slide, Jeff called their neighbor who happens to run Magna Vista Farm to ask for a last minute tour. Miss Clara was so sweet to oblige!

Lifelong Friends |
After a good night's rest, the guys went golfing and the ladies and kids went over to the Bristol Mall for some lunch and fun. The kids had a great time at Jump, playing on the inflatable obstacle courses and taking turns in the Hurricane wind generator.
