As a ministry to young families, Green Ridge Baptist Church (where Sam "grew up" and the rest of his family still attends) offers a complimentary date night about once a quarter. They don't accept a donation or offer it only to church members; it is truly just an effort to invest in marriages and love on the community around them, and let me tell you, it has been a true blessing to us and has become something to which we look forward. Our girls enjoy pizza while we enjoy a quiet (not pizza) dinner, and we both get to enjoy it all with friends.
Chris and Tabatha joined us for our date night at Longhorn Steakhouse. Our little families have become so close over the last four years we've been in Roanoke. It's so nice to have others in the
exact life phase we are in to celebrate, commiserate, and communicate with. Our family-wide friendship has become comfortable and easy, and tonight was no exception.
