This little (big) guy was born on October 9 at 8:58 p.m., and weighed in at 9 lbs 5.9 oz! All four of us were at the hospital when he was delivered. We ate at the Fork in the Alley to be close to the hospital, thinking he would arrive before we finished with dinner and we could go over and meet him. But, after a longggggg labor, Corrie ended up having some complications and needed to have a c-section. When we found that out, Sam wanted to go over to the hospital, just to make sure everything went ok and so that he could be there for Corrie. He loves that girl, and has never outgrown his role as the guardian big brother. I hope Alston grows to know how loved he is by so many! Here are just a few pictures of the others anxiously awaiting his arrival at the hospital.  |

Since we went to mom's house and Sam worked all weekend, we didn't get a chance to actually meet Alston until Corrie and Jeremy were home with him. He is just so precious. Harper loved getting to hold him, and Willa Kate teetered from being jealous when mommy was holding him to crying that she wasn't allowed to hold him. She was thinking, "I drag babies around my house all the time, so what's the big deal?!" ;)
We are so privileged to get to be in this little fella's life, and to be beside Corrie and Jeremy as they navigate this new world of parenthood. I'm so proud of them! They are an adorable little family-- I'm so glad they're part of ours.
