The girls and I were so excited to head to MarMar and PapPap's house for the weekend, especially because we would be meeting up with Leah & Win and Bubba & Mickey there! Since Sam was working for the entire weekend, we packed up as soon as I got off work and hit the road. Thankfully the Lake House is only 3.5 hours away, because I'm not sure Willa would have made it if we were driving the 8 hours to Alabama. Harper asked if she could have some chocolate milk that I packed, and I told her that she could after she went to sleep, so to go ahead and take a nap. Ten seconds later, this was her in the back seat. It was amazing. Hilarious how it is total role reversal in the car-- Harper is easy breezy, and Wills is a terrorist. Exhibit A:
When we talked earlier in the week, we all decided that taking the kids to a pumpkin patch for the day would be fun on Saturday. Unfortunately, the weather didn't get the memo. It rained and was chilly, so a day at the farm got called off. Mom said since it was going to be yucky, she'd just keep the kids with Bubba and Leah and I could head to the outlets. Sans kiddos. What?! Yes, please! It was so nice to get to walk around by ourselves, and every time we would hear a child screaming, we said another little thank you to the grandparents. Though we shopped without them, everything we bought was for the kids. I mean, who doesn't go to the outlets, and only come back with a zillion bags from Stride Rite and Old Navy? This is 30.

Since Win would be turning three on the 19th (we were there the weekend of the 11-12th), we celebrated his birthday together on Saturday evening with a little Barnyard themed soiree. How cute are these cupcakes we made (and by we, I mean Leah. The only thing I contributed was laughing at the sheep that looked like a turkey.)? Mom even had a little game of pin the sheep on the barn, or something like that.
